"Customer service really wasn’t helpful"
I had a frustrating experience with their customer service. The staff came across as rude, and even after I was told someone would get back to me, nobody ever called. Not saying it’s a scam, but it definitely didn’t feel professional or reassuring.

My delivery didn’t show up on the date I was given, and it was hard to get any clear updates. I had to rearrange my plans around it, which was frustrating. I wouldn’t count on their schedule again.

I’m not trying to make a big deal out of it, but I ended up getting the wrong boards in my order. I had to go back and reorder everything myself, which was frustrating since I was expecting the right items the first time

I had to keep asking how much everything cost cause the prices wasn’t shown clear at all. It was kinda annoying honestly.

"I Had to Keep Chasing Them"
I tried calling and emailing 84 Lumber a few different times about my order, nobody ever got back to me. When I finally did get someone on the phone, they told me they’d check on it, but then I never heard anything after that. It was frustrating because I just wanted a basic update without having to keep following up myself. They didn’t seem like terrible people or anything, but from my experience, the communication and follow-through were really lacking.
"Contractor support was a bunch of clowns"
I tried using 84 Lumber for a small job and needed some help from contractor support, but wow, what a runaround. Every time I called, I got passed to someone else, and none of these geniuses seemed to know what was going on. I had to repeat the same details over and over like nobody there could take notes.
The quote changed, the delivery info was vague, and when a problem came up, they basically acted like it was on me to figure it out. I wasted way too much time chasing answers from a bunch of bozos when all I needed was basic support. Definitely not the experience I expected

I sent my order back and figured the refund would just come through, but nope, well, not right away at least. I ended up having to chase them for it, which was frustrating. I don’t think I’d bother ordering again after that...

I stopped by 84 Lumber to price out some basic materials and the prices were a little higher than I was expecting.
A few things seemed fair enough, but a lot of the stuff I looked at was cheaper at other local places or even online. I know prices move around a lot, but still, it made it tough to feel like buying there made sense.
The service was fine, no real complaints there. I just wish the pricing was a bit better because I probably would’ve used them more often

I went in and was waiting around for help, but the staff just ignore me for like 20 minutes. I kept looking around thinking someone will ask if I needed anything, but nobody did. Frustrating trip, honestly

"Not great lumber for the money"
I ordered some boards from 84 Lumber, and it was kind of a letdown situation. A lot of them came in warped or split, and the surface was way rougher than I thought it would be. A few pieces also had these bad knots in the exact spots where I needed to cut, which was just not helpful at all.
Maybe I just got a bad batch or whatever, but the quality did not feel like what I paid for. I had to go through every board, set aside the worst ones, and then still go buy replacements anyway. Frustrating, and I probably would not do it again.

"The estimate process was a mess"
I tried using their project estimating service it felt thrown together. The numbers didn’t really add up, and getting a callback took way longer than it should have. I also got the feeling I was being pushed through some automated system instead of dealing with an actual person, which just made the whole thing more frustrating. In the end, I wasted about a week and still didn’t feel confident in the estimate.
